Pre-paid Card Program

Innoviti's uniPAY Marketing solution allows retailers to manage their Pre-paid Card program on a turn-key basis. The solution comprises of a front-end uniPAY client that is integrated into either the retailer POS or a bank EDC (credit card swipe) machine for accepting the card transactions. At the backend the uniPAY switch and host manage the card issuance and accounting.

How it works?

  • The issuance module is used to create pre-paid cards, based on the creative of the brand. These cards by themselves don’t carry any value and are de-activated.
  • The uniPAY client (pre-paid card) is deployed in the POS or EDC to accept pre-paid cards. When a customer wants to buy a pre-paid card and load certain value, the value is loaded on the card by swiping it on the POS or EDC and sending the card number and value transaction to the uniPAY host through the switch. This action also activates the card.
  • When a customer wishes to pay for goods or services through the card they visit the outlet and present the card. The cashier swipes the card on the POS/ EDC, enters amount to be debited and the transaction is routed to uniPAY host which first authenticates the card and then authorizes the transaction and debits the pre-paid card account.
  • The marketing team can view pre-paid card reports in terms of sales done by store. In case the POS billing files are integrated with the uniPAY host then the marketing team can also view the items purchased against the pre-paid card.
