Insurance services for the rural sector face an acceptance challenge.The rural consumers primary day-to-day concern is livelihood and hence health and life assurance comes secondary. A change in this scenario requires micro insurance packages to be delivered in an easy-to use manner in which the effectiveness can be easily demonstrated. This entails the insurance issuance, cash-less hospitalization (in case of health insurance) and claim settlement to be done in a real-time manner and across the counter.
