MagIC3M-trueID

MagIC3 M-trueID is a portable wireless biometric point-of-sale (PoS) system that allows for biometric registration and verification for a wide variety of portable biometric applications such as financial inclusion (micro-finance, insurance), law enforcement etc. The wireless capability of the system allows it to be used for online real-time transactions in the field.

The MagIC3 M-trueID system is a wireless biometric enhancement of Gemalto’s leading portable platform, the MagIC3 M platform. The system comprises of the terminal and associated software libraries on the platform that allow for a standard ISO-Minutiae (19794-2) fingerprint template stored on a smart card to be matched with a finger being presented on the scanner. Up to 10 fingers can be matched using a custom algorithm providing for increased levels of security and convenience.

This product can also be used for offline biometric authentication by storing fingerprint templates on smart cards. Innoviti’s biometric server (trueServer™) can be used for storing fingerprint transactions.

The system has been designed with power save modes to allow for increased transactions and battery life, especially suitable for remote location usages such as for financial inclusion programs in rural areas. The terminal has a graphical display that allows for easy rendering of vernacular fonts again important for financial inclusion programs. A key feature of this platform is the connectivity system, whether it is wireless or wired, thereby allowing for uploads and settlement from remote areas even in the absence of power.

Secure data storage on the platform is enabled and additional online security can be added for online biometric matching if needed. Innoviti provides assistance in development and integration of biometric applications with the system.

MagIC3 M - trueID is the ideal platform for portable biometric applications
